It was motivated by the ongoing issue of teachers showing low discipline in aspects such as attendance, punctuality, teaching, and administrative duties. A quantitative correlational approach was applied, with a sample of 79 teachers selected using proportional random sampling from a population of 94. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Analysis included normality and linearity tests, as well as correlation significance testing using the t-test formula. The results showed that teacher work discipline was at a high level (87%), while principal communication was considered good (88%). Furthermore, a significant positive correlation was found between principal communication and work discipline, with a correlation coefficient of 0.447 and t-value of 4.382.

2025-12-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 SIJE-Student International Journal of Educationhttps://ije.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/sije/article/view/239The Effect of Leadership on Employee Work Motivation at The Food Agency of West Sumatera Province 2025-10-22T08:12:14+00:00Rizki Yatul Hanifarizkiyatulhanifa123@gmail.comNellitawati Nellitawatinellitawati@fip.unp.ac.idHadiyanto HadiyantoHadiyanto@fip.unp.ac.idSinggih Ginanjarsinggihginanjar@fip.unp.ac.id
This study was motivated by low employee work motivation. Many factors influence employee work motivation, one of which is leadership. This study aims to determine the extent to which leadership influences employee work motivation at the West Sumatra Provincial Food Agency. This study is a quantitative study using a correlation research design. The population in this study consisted of 87 employees at the West Sumatra Provincial Food Service Office, and the sample size was determined using the Slovin formula with a 10% margin of error. Sampling was conducted using proportional random sampling with a total sample of 50 people. Data collection tools used a Likert scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, and the test results showed that the questionnaire was valid and reliable. The data analysis technique used was Simple Linear Regression with the help of the SPSS version 25 program. 1) The work motivation of employees at the West Sumatra Provincial Food Service was in the high category with an achievement level of 88.66%. 2) Leadership at the West Sumatra Provincial Food Service was in the good category with an achievement level of 88.91%. 3) There is a significant influence between leadership and employee work motivation of 61.1%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the better the leadership of a head of agency, the higher the level of work motivation generated by employees at the West Sumatra Provincial Food Agency.
2025-12-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 SIJE-Student International Journal of Educationhttps://ije.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/sije/article/view/238Supervision Process By The Principal At Junior High Schools In The North Payakumbuh District2025-10-20T17:39:56+00:00Rafnilia Darma Sarirafniliadarmasari@gmail.comAhmad Sabandisabandi@fip.unp.ac.idTia Ayu Ningrumtiaayuningrum@fip.unp.ac.idSinggih Ginanjarsinggihginanjar@fip.unp.ac.id
This study aims to determine how well the supervision process is conducted in public junior high schools in the North Payakumbuh District through four main indicators, namely supervision planning, supervision implementation, supervision evaluation, and follow-up on supervision results. This research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. A sample of 54 teachers was determined using the Proportional Random Sampling technique from a population of 106 teachers in three schools. The instrument was a Likert-scale questionnaire, assessed for validity and reliability using SPSS version 31. The results of the study show that the supervision process falls into the good category, with an average score of 4.32 and a respondent achievement level of 86.42%. The highest indicator is in the aspect of supervision planning, while the lowest indicator is in the aspect of follow-up on supervision results. These findings indicate that principal supervision has been fairly effective, particularly in the aspects of clear planning and instrument-based evaluation; however, there is still a need for strengthening the follow-up aspect so that the results of supervision have a greater impact on improving the quality of learning.
2025-12-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 SIJE-Student International Journal of Educationhttps://ije.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/sije/article/view/237Analysis of the Implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Public Junior High Schools in the Lareh Sago Halaban District2025-10-20T15:44:36+00:00Cici Maniacicimania4@gmail.comSyahril Syahrilsyahril_fip@yahoo.comNovriyanti Achyarnovriyanti_achyar@yahoo.co.idMerika Setiawatimerikasetiawati@ummy.ac.id
The Merdeka Curriculum is one of the latest education policies in Indonesia aimed at improving the quality of learning through differentiation approaches, project-based learning, and authentic assessment. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in public junior high schools across the Lareh Sago Halaban District, particularly in terms of planning, implementation, and evaluation. The study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The research population consisted of 121 teachers, with a sample of 95 selected through proportional random sampling techniques. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, then analyzed using the mean technique. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum falls into the good category with an average score of 4.21 (TCR 84.3%). The planning aspect scored 82.7%, implementation 86.5%, and evaluation 83%, with the highest achievement in implementation. These findings indicate that teachers have implemented the Merdeka Curriculum well, although there are still challenges in preparing teaching modules, applying differentiated learning, and varying assessments. This study concludes that the success of implementing the Merdeka Curriculum greatly depends on ongoing training support and adequate facilities. The implications of this research emphasize the need for practical mentoring strategies for teachers as well as consistent school policies in supporting learning innovation.
2025-12-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 SIJE-Student International Journal of Education
