Abstract

This study aims to describe the school climate, student learning discipline, and examine the relationship between the two at SMPN 1 Enam Lingkung. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The study population was 550 students, with a sample of 90 students determined through proportional stratified random sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out using a Likert scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including normality tests, linearity tests, Pearson correlation analysis, and t-tests to test the significance of the relationship. The results showed that student learning discipline was in the discipline category with an average score of 3.0, while the school climate was in the conducive category with an average score of 3.1. The correlation analysis showed a coefficient value of 0.631 with a significance level of 0.000, which indicates a strong and significant relationship between school climate and student learning discipline. The results of the t-test showed that the calculated t-value was greater than the t-table, so the hypothesis was accepted. These findings indicate that the more conducive the school climate, the higher the level of student learning discipline. Therefore, improving the quality of the school climate is a crucial factor in supporting student learning discipline.
