The Influence of Vision and Mission Related to Accreditation in Improving the Quality of School Education

Writing this article is intended to find out what the influence of vision and mission is in determining accreditation, and to discuss further about vision and mission and accreditation. In addition, the author also writes down the goals and functions of the vision and mission. because every school definitely has a vision and mission to be used as a target or benchmark in determining the goals of implementing education in schools

The school's vision and mission are related to school accreditation. How the vision and mission, the achievement of the vision and mission have an influence on the school's accreditation. The definition of vision and mission according to Wibisono (2006) mission is setting company goals or objectives in the short term (usually 1 to 3 years). While the vision is the perspective of the company in the future. In forming the vision and mission, the school involves the principal, teachers, school committee and all school policy stakeholders. Vision and mission are made to be a benchmark or target in achieving school goals. Of course there is a connection between the two. 

Vision and mission are used to achieve school goals and accreditation is a form of assessment of the process of achieving set goals, for example the completeness and adequacy of infrastructure supporting the achievement of goals, how is the education or learning process in the school, how is the knowledge and skills of the teacher, the cleanliness of the school and so on.
