Student Management at State Vocational Schools in Padang Panjang City

This study aims to describe and analyze student management in State Vocational High Schools (SMK) in Padang Panjang City, which includes aspects of planning, admission, recording, coaching, and grouping of students. The method used by the author in this assessment is quantitative. The population of this study was all teachers in SMK Negeri Padang Panjang City, totaling 125 people. The sample was taken using the Slovi formula and carried out sample proportions with simple random sampling techniques so that the sample totaled 57 people. This research instrument used a Likert scale questionnaire with five answer choices that had been tested for validity and reliability. The results of the data analysis showed that: 1) Student planning with an average score of 4.20, 2) student data recording with an average score of 4.39 3) Student coaching with an average score of 4.16, 4) Student grouping with an average score of 3.78. The results of this study can be concluded that student management in SMK Negeri Padang Panjang City is carried out
