Abstract

This research is motivated by the low level of student discipline in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 in State High Schools in Padang Panjang City. This study aims to determine how high student discipline in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 in State High Schools in Padang Panjang City in terms of indicators of time discipline, discipline of action and discipline of dress. The type of research used is quantitative descriptive research, which has a population of 1607 students. Sampling was carried out using the Simple Random Sampling technique, the sample size was determined based on the Slovin formula and obtained a sample of 95 students. In this study, the instrument used was a questionnaire using a Likert scale. The distribution of the research questionnaire was tested on 20 students at school. The trial data was processed using the product moment formula with the value of r table for N = 20 is 0.444, guided by the value of r product moment. After conducting a trial on 30 questionnaire items, the calculation results obtained 30 valid items. From the results of data processing, it is found that student discipline in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 in State High Schools in Padang Panjang city on indicators 1) time discipline with an average of 4.32 in the high category, 2) discipline of actions 4.30 in the high category, 3) discipline of dress 4.44 in the high category.
